Manolo Blahnik has unveiled its first eCommerce site.
The shoe brand, renowned for appearances on the feet of fashionistas in the Sex and the City TV series, has seen its platform powered by Farfetch. Farfetch is a global community of more than 400 fashion boutiques offering an inspirational shopping experience to fashion-forward consumers.
Farfetch’s new white label service “Black & White” is behind Manolo Blahnik’s new site and following the live launch of Manoloblahnik.com, which launched on March 31st, offers the brand’s full range of footwear, handbags and books for men and women.
Farfetch’s main business is a marketplace for luxury boutiques worldwide. It was launched eight years ago, by entrepreneur Neves, and now incorporates a substantial 400 of the leading boutiques offering 1,000 brands on a global scale, but recently it has really taken off, with significant expansion.
Neves recently spoke about the new service, saying: “The vision was always to build Black & White as a true platform. Technologically, Farfetch is built with an API [application program interface] layer, which means we can put all the functionalities you see on Farfetch at the service of the best luxury brands and retailers worldwide.”
