After meeting with the Aux Privé founder Jason Cristiano, the passion he had for the brand struck a chord with the Media Lounge team and we set about delivering a site that would be desirable to Aux Privé and their target audience. Being a startup fashion brand meant there was little existing customer feedback or user behaviour to work from but rather a clean slate, from which ideas could come.
The core idea behind the site design was to create a beautifully simple and clean finish to fit seamlessly with any seasonal range. With a bold black on white theme, the design team have delivered a sophisticated and clutter free site that allows the stunning product photography to be the star. For a start, the homepage is tailored specifically to the brand’s target audience with an Instagram feed and blog featuring prominently. The creative use of space transforms the page into a hub for fashion and lifestyle news. The site also features a stunning lookbook where the user can shop the clothes worn by the photographed models directly from the imagery. This beautifully developed feature makes for an innovative shopping experience and contributes to the modern feel of the site. We love the seamless transition from inspiration to ecommerce and there are plans for future features along these lines so watch this space.
Not only did the site design have to be flawless, but so did how it displays across different devices; a responsive design was essential to highlight the brand’s show stopping creations regardless of screen size. The idea of a seamless experience was partnered with the addition of multiple language and currency options, making the site fit for all users to enjoy across the brands many marketplaces.
One other feature of the new Aux Privé store that can’t go unmentioned is the new, streamlined checkout process that Media Lounge have developed in partnership with the OneStepCheckout team. It’s clean, simple and transparent layout on one page eliminates any purchasing barriers and makes the experience easy and hassle free for the user.
Aux Privé have worked hard to deliver the full fashion package for the professional man. The site doesn’t just stop at clothing, it offers men’s accessories and grooming products with other lines planned for future release. It really is a men’s lifestyle site as much as it is an ecommerce store.
