What are your plans at lunchtime on Thursday the 26th of this month? If your answer is “not much” and you are based in the Bournemouth area, then we strongly urge you check out the ‘You Are The Media Lunch Club’ held here at the Media Lounge HQ!
We are sure that most of our readers are aware of Mark Masters and the ID Groups ‘You Are The Media Lunch Club’ but if you really still don’t know, here’s a brief summary…
The lunch club is a monthly event held at a number of venues in the Bournemouth area, although more recently, its regular home has been here at Media Lounge. The idea of the event is to offer attendees industry insights from special guest speakers in all areas of the digital world. The thriving event is a fantastic place to network and meets new faces in the digital industry as well as discuss how you can become the media that everyone’s talking about!
*WARNING – SAD NEWS AHEAD*
We are very sorry to inform you that this month’s lunch club is the last lunch club of 2017.
We know, we know, it’s a tough time for everyone… but we are here with open arms and plenty more lunch clubs in 2018!! So you put that handkerchief back down!
Of course, our right-hand man for all things food-related, the one and only Oli Perron from Lunch’d, will be back to supply all attendees with a delicious, healthy meal to get you through the rest of your working day. We have also made sure we feed your caffeine fix with thanks to South Coast Roast who will be providing the coffee for the event.
So, who will be the guest speaker accompanying Mark on the sofa this month?
Mark will be joined by Jake Moore from the Dorset Police. Jake is currently on a mission to extend people’s knowledge of cybercrime and how us normal folks can protect ourselves against it as best we can. More importantly, Mr Moore has written, produced, and starred in his own video series ‘Dorset Police Cyber Crime’ as a quick and accessible way of reaching out to a target audience so engulfed in video content.
Centred in on a consistent message of vulnerability, his videos have become a huge hit and are living proof of tapping into a common trend in order to educate the many! The session will dive into how he collates his video topics, plus exactly what goes into making each short film without the luxury of a production team. To find out more about the Dorset Police Cyber Crime Youtube channel and see a few of the films for yourself, you can do so here.
So to round things up, if cybersecurity, innovative short films, networking, lunch and coffee sound like a bit of you, then this lunchtime event is not one to miss! To pick up your tickets and learn more about the event, you can do so here.
We look forward to seeing you on the 26th!
